If you are scheduled for a procedure under Local Anaesthetic, you may eat normally prior to your appointment—fasting is not required for procedures under local anaesthetic. Dr Cho will ensure you are comfortable throughout and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Same day consult and procedures under Local Anaesthetic are available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our team and we will be happy to assist with discussing your suitability.
Procedures Performed Under General Anaesthetic
If you are scheduled for a procedure under general anaesthetic at a private hospital, you will be required to fast prior to surgery. Details of your admission and fasting times will be discussed with you at the time of consultation, along with information on how the admission process occurs for the specific hospital you are to be admitted into. We will book your hospital and anaesthetist on your behalf and their contact details will also be provided to you. Please ensure you have an adult drive you home following your procedure and cares for you during the recovery period. Please contact our team, if you have any questions or require further assistance.
